Meet Dimera
Communications Manager
2021 TCC Intern
Where are you from and where do you currently reside?

I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I grew up on the west side of town, approximately 10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. I earned my diploma from Pittsburgh Brashear High School in 2017. I currently reside in Slippery Rock, PA for the remainder of the summer before moving back home.

What college/university did you attend?

I'm a recent graduate of Slippery Rock University, as of May 2021. During the four years, I studied Integrated Marketing Communication and acquired a minor in Business Administration. As well as earned a certificate in "Foundations in Creative Leadership and Design Thinking".

How did you get your start in your career?

At a young age, piecing together projects has always been a passion of mine, from baking and decorating cakes, planning parties, or creating flyers for events. I've always found puzzles and challenges fascinating to create a broader picture. As I completed my final semester as an undergraduate, I’ve pieced together the elements from my major’s studies and extracurricular roles to discover my passion for coordinating events and marketing.

Do you have any passions/interests outside of work?

I've recently became enthralled in the work of graphic design, while most of my work is compiled from classroom projects, I'd like to continue my newfound hobby. As well as creating and learning recipes to uplift my food palette. In particular, baking desserts are my favorite dishes to recreate.

What inspired you to help create TCC?

During my internship as an Ambassador for the Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator in Slippery Rock, PA, I was assigned with Transforming Culture Consultants. The team has done an exemplary job making one feel included, enabled to push boundaries, and showcase my talents. I appreciate TCC’s mission and the vision it intends to take action upon.
